Neon Hunt — a neon sign walk through Budapest

At MAZSIKE’s invitation, CSŐ! is once again joining this year’s Walking Festival. Participation is free, but registration is required and will soon be available on MAZSIKE’s website.

About the walk: On this tour, participants will observe true urban exotics on the brink of extinction. To the untrained eye they’re easy to miss—by day their rusty, incomplete remnants blend into the city’s gray mass, and only after dark do they reveal themselves in full. Once they inspired songs, music videos, and photo series; today, aside from a few determined collectors and crafty neon hunters, few pay them any attention. During the walk we’ll revisit how they came to be and the circumstances of their creation.
